History

The Condensed Matter Theory Group (TMC) belongs to the Physics Department at the Centro Atómico Bariloche. It was established in the early seventies, originally as the “Solid-State Physics group”, thanks to the pioneer work of Blas Alascio, Verónica Grünfeld and Arturo López Dávalos, among others. Its main focus was to study theoretical aspects in solid state physics, such as vibrational dynamics and intermediate valence systems.

Remembering Blas Alascio (1937-2021).
