We are pleased to invite you to the BARILOCHE WORKSHOP ON CONDENSED MATTER PHYSICS: Celebrating the legacy of Blas Alascio and Arturo López Dávalos that will take place on December 18, 19 and 20, 2023 at the Bariloche Atomic Center and Balseiro Institute.

This is an international event organized in memory of those who were fundamental pillars in the development of the Bariloche Atomic Center and the Balseiro Institute. Their roles as researchers and educators, as well as their leadership in management positions, have influenced the careers of several generations of physicists, thus becoming pioneers of the Bariloche school on Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics.

The meeting will address issues of Condensed Matter Physics, particularly those that were the subject of their studies: Strongly Correlated Systems, Superconductivity, Magnetism and Mesoscopic Systems, as well as other topics such as Systems out of Equilibrium, Topological Matter and Soft Matter.

We expect the participation of many Argentine friends residing abroad as well as colleagues from various countries who collaborate or have collaborated with researchers from our institutions. For this reason, in addition to being a forum for discussion of highly topical areas, the event will be an opportunity to strengthen collaboration ties between the different research, technological and training centers with researchers from our country, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, USA, among others.
